Glazing is an important part of a frame, it has to provide the best protection without distracting the eye from the artwork. At the Circular Framing Company, we are specialised in Fine art bespoke frames and always aim to provide you with high quality glazing options that meet your needs. For this reason, we source our glazing materials from the UK’s leading suppliers of picture framing materials.
When you request a quote for a bespoke frame, we include the cost of standard glass by default. If you require an additional level of protection (museum glass or UV acrylic for example), please let us know and we can factor it in accordingly.
We have summarised the specificity of our different glazing options below. If this is your first order, or if you are not sure which type to request, don’t hesitate to ask for advice! We are always happy to help, all you need to do is complete our contact form with some information on your artwork, the dimensions, where you'd like the piece to be shipped, and anything else you thing may be helpful. We look forward to hearing from you!
Depending on the luminosity of the place where you want to display your artwork, reflection could really affect the clarity. Glazing should always be as discrete as possible, hence choosing museum glass with anti-reflective properties can be a great investment for pieces of art with a high sentimental or monetary value.
Acrylic is the safest option when it comes to frames displayed in public places (including museums) or sent abroad as it is very resistant and almost impossible to break. We propose 2 options:
- Perspex® which is a premium branded acrylic version of the standard glass, very resistant and clear and 100% recyclable!
- AcryGuard™ which blocks 99% of the UV and prevent damages from the sunlight.
